Who we are

We are the Stadia Precinct Consortium (SPC), the proponent behind Mac Point 2.0 — a transformative proposal to deliver not only an AFL-standard stadium but also a major urban renewal project for the people of Tasmania.

With a combined 50 years of experience across construction, project management, architecture, and urban design, our team understands the unique physical landscape and community needs of Tasmania.

Our aim is to deliver a precinct that supports local sport, creates long-term economic opportunity, and reflects the spirit and identity of this state.

UPDATE – May 20, 2025

SolutionsWon Group (SWG), led by Dean Coleman, initiated the Mac Point 2.0 proposal and played a foundational role in early stakeholder engagement and team formation. SWG also invested more than $7 million in the project’s development.

In mid-2023, SWG formalised a group of private-sector partners to create the Stadia Precinct Consortium — a collaborative entity formed to advance the bid.

Following a selection process in late 2023 to secure a long-term financial and delivery partner, Capella Capital joined SPC on 1 August 2024.

Capella Capital now leads the Consortium and is responsible for financial structuring, commercial modelling, and delivery strategy for any future opportunity at Mac Point 2.0. Their role includes oversight of the funding model for the stadium and precinct infrastructure, coordination of consortium partners, and strategic engagement with government and stakeholders.

Capella’s track record in delivering nationally significant infrastructure — including Sydney’s Darling Harbour and the Darwin City Waterfront — places SPC in a strong position to deliver a fully compliant AFL stadium and associated precinct should the opportunity arise.

As the project moves toward delivery readiness, SPC has shifted from a fixed office model to a project-based delivery structure aligned with how Capella operates its national portfolio.

Mac Point 2.0 remains a viable, fully costed proposal that is ready to proceed — should the current government-led stadium plan not progress. Capella Capital is prepared to advance a delivery-ready alternative that meets AFL requirements and delivers long-term value for Tasmania.

Further appointments to the SPC structure will be published here as confirmed.
